Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ’s)

Can I bring my pets?
No.

Can I bring my dog if I keep it on a lead?
Sorry, no pets of any flavour. We are a small, tented site who are passionate about conservation and preserving habitats for our numerous native species.

Do you have electric hook ups?
Nope. There are solar lights in the bell tents and around the site and toilets but that’s it for electricity on site.

What facilities do you provide?
We have unisex toilets, a hot shower, a wash up area, recycling and a fresh water point. We do not provide a kitchen or any phone charging facilities.

I’ve booked a bell tent, what do I need to bring?
Bring plenty of bedding, duvets and pillows, it can get a bit nippy when the sun goes down. We don’t provide toiletries or towels. A cool box is never a bad idea. Otherwise, it depends on you, do you need to bring cooking facilities? Bring as much or as little as you need.

Can I cook inside my bell tent?
No naked flames are allowed inside the tents. That includes candles, bbqs, gas cookers, fires and smoking.

What do we do when we arrive?
You will have received all your details before you set off. Use your gate code to get in, park up in the marked car parking area or in your bay if you’re in a van, ensure the gate is secured behind you. Find your bell tent or locate yourself a suitable spot and walk your stuff over from your car. Someone should be there to welcome you but you should have everything necessary to get in and settled.
If the booking is in your name please have your booking details and id to hand and we’ll be round to check and say hello at some point.

How far are the local amenities?
Once you’re settled into the idyllic natural surroundings at Bobs it’s hard to believe that we have supermarkets, a couple of pubs and a decent chippie all under a mile away.

Can I park my car next to my tent?
No. Please keep vehicles in the car parking area and away from the tents. But don’t worry, it’s not far.

Can we have friends visit us on site?
Of course, within reason but keep it between 10am and 10pm otherwise we’ll assume they’re staying and charge accordingly. While on site they are your responsibility and it’s on you to make sure they leave quietly and secure the gate behind them.

Can we come earlier or leave late?
You can arrive after 9am for a small fee but you won’t be able to put up your tents until 2pm. You are welcome to leave your car on departure day but you will need to clear your camp by 12 midday.

What do we do if the neighbours are being antisocial?
Have a quiet word, we want everyone to get along but if someone is denying a reasonable request let us know and we’ll come and sort it out. If it comes to that it won’t go well. We demand a basic level of respect.
